The Space Voyagers - Encounter at Sirius (Part I)
Story synopsis;
Date; April 16th 2162. The USS Essex (CG-54) is the latest cruiser to join the Star Naval Command. The ship is two weeks past their final shakedown cruise and has been assigned to investigate the disappearance of a warp probe that was scouting the star system Sirius. Captain Hunt and his crew have been preparing for this mission since the probe vanished a month ago. The crew is anxious to get underway and find out what happened. Sirius is 8.6 light years away and just over two weeks at warp 5.
The story begins with the Captain returning from a final briefing at Star Naval Command Head Quarters in San Diego, California. The ship departs and heads for Sirius at warp 5. Along the way we begin to get to know the crew as they settle in for an adventure. All SNC ships carry a detachment of Marines. The ship takes time to do assault training on asteroids along the flight path to Sirius.
After arriving at Sirius they find wreckage from the probe. There are many surprises that await our voyagers in this system. Come along on December 3rd 2005 and find out what happens. The episode will premier at midnight Saturday morning PST right here. The run time is about 15 minutes. Don't miss it and be sure and tell your friends.
